£12,000 raised at Wood’s annual Charity Ball

Woods Charity Ball imageThe glamour of the 1920s hit the Imperial Hotel in Torquay with the Black Tie Charity Ball, hosted by Woods Estate Agents & Auctioneers. Once again, the event was a sell-out success. The night started with great excitement as 300 guests arrived.

Following a superb dinner, the evening’s main event began – a charity auction with prizes including a VIP trip to meet the Red Arrows, a week in a Spanish villa, a stay in London at the Hilton, a night’s stay in Dartmouth and many other prizes which were listed in the programme.

There was also a draw with prizes and a Silent Auction where prizes included golf days, artwork, hampers, a gin-making experience!

The Loose Cannons band delighted the dancers and everybody had a marvellous night out.

The fantastic event raised £12,000, to be split between Rowcroft Hospice, The Royal British Legion and JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).

Sarah Thomas said at Woods, said, “These are all such wonderful charities and very well deserving of the funds, we so appreciate all of the support we have been given from everyone. Every little bit helps!”
