The Negotiator Award-winning online estate agents HouseSimple has announced a £13m investment as it aims to challenge PurpleBricks as the UK’s leading online estate agency.
The funding round has been led by Carphone Warehouse Founder Sir Charles Dunstone and his business partner Roger Taylor.
HouseSimple’s technology and data-led approach means they consistently outperform high street and other online estate agents. They are 40% more likely to successfully sell, in 50% less time, and at 99% of asking price. And HouseSimple is able to do this at a fraction of the cost of the high street, saving UK home sellers on average £5,594 in fees – and London sellers more than £14,000 in fees.
Over the past 12 months, HouseSimple has firmly established itself as the second largest online estate agent in the UK. Word of mouth from highly satisfied customers has propelled substantial growth, with property listings trebling in the past year.
HouseSimple provides a full estate and letting agency service, from valuation guidance, photography, floor plans, hosted viewings, negotiation and full management of the sale or rental, through to completion, and it does so from just £395 fixed fee or alternatively £895 no sale, no fee.
Alex Gosling (left), CEO of HouseSimple.com said, “These are exciting times for HouseSimple. We are relentlessly focused on delivering the best selling results for our customers, and with this latest funding round we are confident we can increase our selling success rate and achieved selling price even further.”
Charles Dunstone (right) said: “Our homes are our most valued assets, and HouseSimple delivers a fundamentally better service at a fraction of the cost. It’s only a matter of time before everyone realises HouseSimple’s data-led approach can help them sell their homes for more, with less hassle.”
