Bond Wolfe Auctions’ latest sale set records across the board. The £20m raised takes Bond Wolfe Auctions’ results to over £101million in sales since the business launched in January 2019 – in seven auctions.

At Aston Villa FC in February, the latest auction saw 200 lots sold out of the 212 offered on the day – a 95 per cent success rate.

Gurpreet Bassi, Chief Executive, said, “It was an extraordinary day. We have broken our own Midlands record for amount raised, number of properties offered and number of properties sold.

“It was the busiest sales room we have ever had, with queues circling the car park even before our earlier start of 10am. We had a record number of remote bidders by telephone, online and proxy – over 850, and we undertook a record number of viewings, well over 6,200, in the lead up to the auction.”

Highlights of the day were many, including the sale of three lots for Birmingham City Council, three lots for Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council and two lots for the Ministry of Justice.

Gurpreet added, “We believe two factors came together to produce this extraordinary result.

“Clearly, Bond Wolfe Auctions’ reputation for results is spreading nationwide, but it is also clear from talking to our regular clients that Brexit and the resultant political uncertainty leading to a General Election had acted as a brake on buyer and seller confidence. The brakes are certainly now off, and we look forward to our May auction.”
