When completed, Ladden Garden Village at North Yate in South Gloucestershire will have 2,450 homes, 800 of which will be ‘affordable’.

As well as a range of two, three and four bedroom homes, the new community will also feature a new primary school, nursery, extra care housing and a local centre as well as large areas of open space and sports pitches. New offices will also create plenty of employment opportunities. The scheme is being built over 10 years by Barratt Developments, which includes Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes, and is the largest provider of affordable homes in the south west.

This major investment project from the five-star housebuilder reinforces its long-term commitment to the region with this development being one of its largest ever outside London.

Speaking at the official ceremony to mark the launch, Regional Managing Director Chris Burton said, “As the UK’s leading housebuilder we are delighted to be developing such a large and prestigious site in the south west.”

“Ladden Garden Village will create valuable new homes, provide a wealth of community facilities and employment space and it will support around 7,500 jobs over the lifetime of the development.”
