A judge summoned Gareth Wills to reappear after breaching a restraining order within minutes of leaving the court.

The co-founder of an agency who threatened to kill fellow directors in a series of videos, as reported by The Neg earlier this week, was hauled back into Truro Crown Court shortly after being given a suspended prison sentence.

Gareth Wills (inset main pic), a founder of Lewis Haughton Wills based in Cornwall, broke the terms of a restraining order banning him from making contact with his victims as soon as he left the courthouse.

He spoke to a family member of one of the victims asking them to pass on a message, and then recorded a video posted to TikTok and Instagram in which he discussed the case.

The restraining order also prohibited making videos after Wills featured in a series of films threatening the other directors to pay him money or he would harm them.

Obedience demanded

Wills, 42, of Mylor Downs, had earlier pleaded guilty at Truro Crown Court to two charges of sending malicious communications with intent to cause distress of anxiety.

Judge Linford said the terms of the order were made quite clear and that rather than leave the matter in the hands of the police, he chose to summon Wills back to court.

Representing Wills, Robin Smith said: “He is apologetic and makes no excuse for his behaviour. He is clearly in breach of a restraining order, but says it was a careless and casual remark. He has very acutely learned his lesson.”

Addressing Wills, Judge Linford demanded “blind and unquestionable obedience” from now on before warning him any further breach would mean 20 months in prison.
