Ewe sure? Hybrid agency MD commits to doubling territory count by 2023

Nick Neill says he will add 60 next year and 60 the year after, bringing the Ewemove territories to 240.

Hybrid estate agency Ewemove says the Covid lockdown has proved its model is the future of the industry and is about to pour considerable sums into doubling the size of its network by 2023.

The agency currently has 120 territories across the UK but MD Nick Neill says he aims to increase this by 60 next year and a further 60 the year after. Only a handful are high street based with most franchise holders working from home.

This will be an impressive effort if they can do it – Ewemove launched in 2013 and has therefore grown each year by 17 territories on average.

To achieve this Neill says he is looking for ‘best of the best’ listers and negotiators with two years’ experience whose local reputation suggest they are the go-to agent in their area.#

First lockdown

“The first national lockdown proved without doubt that our model is future proof and built to succeed in the digital age,” he says.

“Many of our franchisees reported record months coming out of lockdown, and our board of directors have committed to investing heavily in our recruitment drive.”

Called ‘operation elite agent’ the initiative will offer franchisees ‘outstanding financial incentives’ to agents to run their own businesses.

This includes eligible agents earning a monthly income to get them through the first six months when setting up their franchise.

“It removes the initial financial barrier, which will allow those exceptional agents who are frustrated working for someone else to take that step towards a brighter, more prosperous and fulfilling future,” says Neil.

“If they bring the skills and ambition, we will provide the rest in terms of exceptional support, leading technology and proven systems, and PLC backed infrastructure.”

In September Ewemove re-started taking on franchisees with no industry experience.
