The Bruce brothers’ industry charity is launching a five-week programme to help agents facing redundancy ‘bounce back’.
Agents Together has made the announcement following news that, although the housing market continues to boom, the economic clouds are darkening.
This week official figures showed that the job market overall saw 227,000 job losses during August and September, pushing up the unemployment rate to 4.5%, the highest for three years.
“We know that times are tough for many right now, and we know that although the estate agency industry has been relatively protected up until now, there are individuals concerned about what the future holds,” says CEO Sarah Edmundson (left).
“Our redundancy series will provide skills and guidance on how to navigate redundancy and job hunting, giving people the confidence to success on their path.”
Agents Together has assembled 12 industry recruitment and consultancy figures to help with the programme including Josh Rayner, Nicola Broomham, Andrew Deverell-Smith, Ian White, Jennifer Scott-Reid, Christ Watkin, Mike Day and Jacqueline Webb.
Also, Stuart Perkins, Head of People at the Bruce brothers’ other project, Boomin, has also been roped in.
The programme kicks off today with a blog, video, social media activity and personalised mentoring including tips on resilience and bouncing back by Day and Rayner.
Webinars are also been held which can be watched on the following days:
21st October 1pm – How to make your CV and LinkedIn profile stand out from the crowd.
28th October 1pm – How to prepare for and win your interview.
4th November 1pm – Expert Panel
