Andrews & Robertson’s 80% sale

The Negotiator

Andrews & Robertson auction property imageEU referendum jitters failed to dampen bidders’ enthusiasm as a busy sale room and confident bidding delivered a strong set of results from Andrews & Robertson’s June auction, at The Montcalm Hotel Marble Arch, London. The commercial and residential property auction raised close on £11m from the 71 lots on offer. The 80 per cent success rate is one of the highest posted for this month.

The largest lot sold under the hammer was a freehold three bed, two reception end of terrace house in Balham. It is the first time the property has come onto the market for over 47 years and presents an exciting development opportunity for the purchaser. Competitive bidding took the lot well above it’s £750,000 guide price, selling for £940,000.

Andrews & Robertson Chairman Robin Cripp said, “The last few months have been characterised by market uncertainty. In spite of this, we are continuing to see sustained investment demand across all sectors, particularly for London property. Our June sale has been an encouraging one and there are several significant lots close to exchange post auction.”

Andrews & Robertson’s next auction will be held on Thursday 21st July at The Montcalm Hotel Marble Arch London.
