The COVID-19 pandemic has claimed another event as victim, as the 2020 Propertymark ARLA Conference is rescheduled for April 2021. Effectively the 2020 event has been cancelled.
The new date for the event will be 27th April 2021, at ExCel in London’s Docklands, ironically the location of the London Nightingale Hospital, set up to accommodate Coronavirus victims.
The event attracts over 1000 letting agents annually and over 60 suppliers to the industry and is seen as one of the industry’s key networking opportunities. The loss of the event will deal a considerable blow to the association’s income for 2020.
A spokesperson for Propertymark ARLA said, “Because of the ongoing uncertainty in respect of large, publicly attended events taking place during this period, ARLA Propertymark Conference & Exhibition has been postponed until 27 April 2021.
“We have worked closely with the venue, ExCel London, and our sponsors and exhibitors and the safety of all involved remains our highest priority.
“A team from multiple departments at ARLA Propertymark work together throughout the year to plan and deliver our biggest national event. The decision to postpone is very disappointing and we appreciate that this delay is frustrating for all those planning to attend.
“We want to thank all of our exhibitors and sponsors for their patience and we look forward to collaborating with them on our new date.
“We can confirm that all existing conference registrations will be automatically transferred to the new conference date. If you have booked places at the conference on behalf of your colleagues and not provided their contact details, please pass this information on and refer them to the website.”
