Auction House is celebrating its 10th anniversary, having sold over 20,000 (20,516) lots since its inception on 1st July 2007.

In the last decade the award-winning brand has grown to become the largest residential auctioneer in the UK in terms of lots sold, having held 1,415 auctions across the country, with a success rate of 78 per cent, and raising a total of more than £2.3bn.

Marking the occasion, Auction House Founding Director Roger Lake said, “The Auction House story has been one of spectacular achievement. In the last ten years we have grown from having just a single sales room in Norwich to running 40 auction rooms across the UK, and a collective annual turnover in the region of £10 million.

“We are now the auctioneer of choice in many parts of the country. Our results show that we have a strong team delivering a top-level service to our sellers and buyers. We’re committed to keeping our title of the UK’s Number 1 Auctioneer and are looking forward to the next ten years.”

The group’s 10th anniversary conference at the Woodland Grange in Leamington Spa was attended by over 100 member and supplier delegates. The company also announced that it is refreshing its brand, maintaining red as the dominant colour, but with a cleaner, simpler logo.

Roger added, “Over the last ten years auctions have become increasingly popular and we’ve made our service more accessible and successful for a higher numbers of sellers. During that time, the average selling price at Auction House has risen from £80,000 to £130,000.”
