Entry guidance notes – all categories
The Negotiator Awards 2024 is now closed for entry.
These Awards are free to enter for all – estate and letting agents and suppliers, no catch, no hidden charges. We aim to be as inclusive as possible. That’s why The Negotiator Awards is the UK’s leader for residential property – and the one to win! This year’s awards are now closed for entries, but the 2025 programme will start on 1st May 2025 for entries for next year’s awards.
This page provides information for you to start preparing for next year.

Preparing your entry
This is essential reading – do not start your entry without reading and following this guide.
Category choice and deadline.
You have until midnight on 31st July 2025 to send in your complete submission – entries or amendments will not be possible after this time. But don’t leave it until the last minute! Use the time well. You can save and return to your entry to update and amend it any time until the Entry Deadline. Start early and don’t pressure yourself.
Decide which categories to enter. You can enter as many categories as you like, as long as you qualify (previous years limited this to four). Regional categories provide more of a chance of winning, so consider entering both national and regional categories – you could even win both!. Regional category success is very valuable for local business.
If you are a supplier, carefully consider which category you best fit into; if in doubt, please contact us for guidance.
The Judges’ key criteria
You are judged entirely on what you provide. Do not expect the judges to go looking for more information about you, although they may contact you for verification of your statements.
You have five or six key criteria to satisfy the judges, plus a ‘free-form’ field for you to upload supporting materials.
Each field has a maximum of 500 words. Use as much of this space as you can – a good, shortlist-qualifying entry will use all of the 500-word allocation allowed in each field. Give the judges as much information as the space allows; the more information, the better the entry.
Back up each field with supporting material – verifiable facts and evidence supporting your written claims. Simply saying your team is great is not enough – you need to provide evidence, examples and where asked to provide third party testimonials.
You will be judged entirely on your submission, so use the space to give the judges as full a picture as you can.
Supporting information
After each Criteria field, depending on what the criteria is asking, you can upload material such as:
• CPD and course certificates, qualifications, memberships of professional bodies and associations, redress schemes, CMP schemes, other awards and independent recognition. Evidence of legal compliance to regulations.
• Reviews and ratings – show the judges how your business and service is rated using Trustpilot, Google Reviews and any other customer review platforms which demonstrate how you are rated by users of your services.
• Marketing materials (pamphlets, images of campaigns), links to videos, infographics.
• Financial information – this is not mandatory, but will strengthen your case if you can show verifiable growth in turnover/profit or evidence of success. All information supplied is kept in strict confidence.
• Metrics supporting year on year growth and performance – stats, graphs, charts – generated from portals that you use, or software CRM systems that generate Key Performance Indicators.
• Judges may contact you for verification of any figures or statements you make in your submission and by entering you give your permission for them to do so.
• Regional categories: focus on your standing in that region, your business and customer relationships, how you have made your region your ‘patch’.
You can also upload supporting documents in almost any format to support each of the five points.
As a tip to uploading your entry, plan your submissions and documents ‘offline’ and then copy and paste into the fields and upload your supporting documents when you and your colleagues are all happy with what makes up your entry. Upload text from a text file with no formatting, preferably.
REMEMBER TO SAVE YOUR ENTRY AS YOU GO! If you don’t the page will time out and you will lose your work.
