70 cyclists hit the road over two days to cover 177 miles to raise funds for a host of children’s charities.
The cyclists took part in Bidwells first Golden Triangle Bike Ride which ran from London via Oxford and Milton Keynes to Cambridge.
Even Patrick McMahon, the Firm’s Senior Partner dusted off his bike and covered the Milton Keynes to Cambridge leg – a total of 55 miles.
He said, “This is the first time we have arranged an event like this and we were a little apprehensive as to whether the challenge might be a bit too much for everyone. However, as always, our Bidwells family embraced it and we were delighted when more than 70 people signed up.
“Some were experienced cyclists and completed the epic 177 mile challenge, while others, like me, hadn’t been near a bike in years.
“I thank everyone who took part or sponsored us. We are delighted to have raised £10,000 plus so far and the money still continues to roll in.”
The bike ride marks the launch of the Firm’s new brand s well as raising money for its six partnered UK charities – EACH, ROSY, CHAS, Starlight, Leo’s Appeal and Adam’s Fund.
The cycle ride was 177 miles, the exact number of years since Bidwells was launched.”
