Boomin is to give its agents more time to respond to valuation requests via its SmartVal platform and revealed that ‘thousands’ of agents are now using the service.
When it launched in July last year agents were given just 15 minutes to accept and 15 minutes to reply to vendor leads but both these have now been extended to 60 minutes, although the consumer-facing website still says the former.
Also, when agents are offline during the evenings and weekends any SmartVals that come through will from today be available to accept until midday the next working day.
Agents will also soon be able to add a SmartVal widget to their own website, which is to launch ‘soon’ along with a lead nurturing programme.
Boomin says the service has proved to be its platform’s stand-out success story to date and that since the beginning of the year the number of SmartVals has doubled and that 15-20% of them are from investors/landlords.
Million
The platform also predicts that this year SmartVal will generate a million valuation requests from vendors.
It also says 60% of buyers registering with the platform for its ‘SecretProperty’ service, 60% also have a property to sell, offering agents further instruction opportunities.
“SmartVal’s power to generate new business for agents and its popularity with consumers is becoming increasingly evident,” says Michael Bruce, Boomin’s CEO and founder (pictured).
“SmartVal represents what Boomin is all about; using innovation and technology to create new tangible and quantifiable opportunities for agents.
“The conversion of just one SmartVal to a completed sale is on average enough to cover the fee for being on the Boomin platform for one year.”
