Boomin has signed up British internet personality WillNE to create content for its YouTube channel which launches today.

The portal says its channel will be like no other and the promise has been kept – the first video by WillNE features the 25-year-old and his girlfriend Mia touring a six-bedroom £3.85 million luxury mansion listed by Curchods in Walton on Thames, Surrey.

But rather than the formal tour videos many agents tend to produce for YouTube, the Millennial pair tour the property gushing over its vast square footage and upmarket fixtures, fitting and furnishings.

WillNE is the online name of William Lenny who describes himself as an internet personality whose practical-joke focused YouTube channel has some 4.4 million subscribers and his combined channels have been viewed over a billion times.

Other videos on the Boomin channel include a video tour around the home of the legendary interior designer Jane Churchill, and the up-and-coming star of Interior Design Masters Frank Newbold as he is challenged to create his SIM’s 4 Dream Home Nightmare in super-fast time.

Boomin says its new YouTube channel is part of a wider digital strategy to lead the way in the social space.

boomin“This is just the beginning of our ambitions to update the way property portals create audiences and engage with property searchers across the UK. Our YouTube channel combines the best of Boomin – great properties from leading agents and inspiring interiors and ideas – all in one place,” says Phil Lloyd, CMO of Boomin (pictured).

“And with high quality content that people want to watch; without a Phil, Kirsty or Kevin in sight.”

  1. Phil Lloyd is ‘on the money’ as the Influencer marketing industry in 2021 will be worth over $20BN. Utilising Social influencers who already have a huge or sympathetic, or reflective base of followers, underpins brands. Ben Francis at Gym Shark used influencers to build a company valued at over $1BN, blazing the path.

In lots of ways Phil & Kirsty Vs WillNE, is reflective of two decade, old guard, solid Rightmove model, conceived in a pre-digital watershed world, and ultra modern Boomin which has all the advantages of being the new way to do property, based on the UX of digital natives. WillNE as a 25 year old both represents the future and is part of it, in the nano-second, digital world we live in – relevance to your core market is going to be everything.
