Britain’s youngest and hardest-working estate agent bar none?

Charlie Saville is one of the youngest branch managers within the Spicerhaart group after working up the ranks while also running a bar at night.

A young estate agent with four years’ experience has been made a branch manager, making him one of the youngest to reach that level of responsibility within the industry.

23-year-old Charlie Saville (main pic, middle), who joined London agency Felicity J Lord – part of the Spicerhaart group – when he was 19 years old as a negotiator.

Prior to that, he ran a bar in East London which he had inherited from his father before the property industry beckoned, but which he continued operating while working his way up the ranks at Felicity J Lord.

He began at its Stoke Newington branch working his way up to Senior Negotiator and has now been made branch manager of its Hackney office.

Saville says he would begin work at the bar getting it ready at 5am before going to Felicity J Lord but going straight back after his day job to manage the bar until closing time.

But rather than see this ‘moonlighting’ as a bad thing, the estate agent has recognised the wealth of experience this bar management has given him.

“I believe my leadership skills of running the pub have really helped my career in Spicerhaart. I know how to communicate with clients and staff and manage a team and I enjoy helping others develop,” he says.

“When I was approached about the promotion, I was so honoured; the role is so rewarding in that I get to really build our market share and push the office and employees to that next level. I want to be able to say I’ve really grown our branch and presence in the Hackney area to number one.”

Kim Chiles (main pic, right)), Estate Agency Director, adds: “When I first interviewed Charlie four years ago, he really stood out from the crowd. He quickly became a team member that others admired and gravitated towards, especially when he started to benchmark his performance by winning awards.”
