Chestertons, one of the UK’s leading and oldest estate agencies, has signed up to use proptech lettings platform Teclet across 30 of its branches.

Lettings staff at the company have been trained by consultant Mike Day over a two and a half week period to use the platform, which now enables them to manage the tenancy, renewal and management processes for its lettings department.

This is the latest win for Teclet, which launched in 2016 and is already being used by many of the UK’s leading agencies including Hunters and Haart. OnTheMarket took at 20% stake in the proptech firm last December.

Some 40% of interactions with the Teclet platform take place outside of normal business hours and this is expected to be even higher with Chestertons due, primarily, to the international nature of the business, it is claimed.

Day was part of effort to fast-track the onboarding of the platform into the Chestertons business as the Coronavirus pandemic loomed.

“Our lettings and management business has been growing rapidly over the past few years and we are confident that the swift implementation of Teclet will help support further growth and keeping us on the cutting edge of lettings services,” says Richard Davies, Lettings Director at Chestertons.

“We are not only impressed with the product but also the way in which the Teclet team took the time to understand our business and the unique challenges and opportunities involved in our marketplace.”

John Evans (left), Commercial Director of Teclet, says: “Experience tells us that their business will gain significant benefits in terms of improved efficiency and productivity along with higher levels of customer service and increased API revenue generation.”
