Portsmouth estate agent Colin Shairp has been elected Chairman of the National Advisory Council for Fine and Country.
Colin has owned the Fine and Country Southern Hampshire agency for a decade, having launched it in April, 2009.
“It is a privilege to be elected into the Chairman’s role against stiff competition from three colleagues,” said Colin. “I am delighted to have support from the council and although there are bound to be tough times ahead, I hope to lead with a positive, upbeat, proactive, and considerate approach.”
As a member of the eight strong council for some time, elected by south east England agents of the multinational brand, Colin has represented the views of his members to the management team at Fine and Country, based in the agency’s head office in Park Lane, London.
“Fine and Country has a certain way of doing things and our clients respect the standards we demand of members and their staff,” added Colin.
“The success of Fine and Country both in the UK and across the world clearly demonstrates that this is the correct approach. Selling houses is a very personal business and while the estate agent is contracted to represent the seller the buyer also has to be happy. It’s a delicate balancing act!”
