Founder, Hat and Home

Ben has over two decades of experience in the property sector.  His career began at Romans before heading to London and working for Foxtons for five years.  He then had a thirteen-year tenure at Marsh & Parsons where he was Regional Sales Director with fifteen branches under his leadership across prime central, west and south-west London.

In 2021 he launched Hat and Home with a mission to ‘make moving home a fantastic experience’.  His flagship office in Wokingham, Berkshire was quickly followed by four further branches in the proceeding three years, all offering sales, lettings, property management and land & new homes.  Hat and Home has quickly become renowned in the industry for its clever and award-winning marketing.

The estate agency has amassed an impressive trophy cabinet already including the coveted Best Medium Estate Agency in the UK at The Negotiator Awards in 2023.

He is co-founder of mortgage and protection brokerage Milliner Financial Services which was launched with Luke Strzadala in March 2023.

After being diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2020 at the age of 41, Ben set about raising funds for leading charity, Parkinson’s UK.  Along with friends, family, team mates and industry colleagues he has completed numerous charitable challenges including two London Marathons, two skydives, a wing walk and countless less adrenaline based events which have raised over £100,000 so far.   He is an ambassador for the charity and both his businesses are official corporate partners of Parkinson’s UK.  In 2024 he launched an industry-wide initiative ‘The Parkinson’s Promise’ which encourages transactional giving across the sector with a view to raising £500,000 per year.

Ben is married with two children and despite building two successful businesses is probably best known for his rather voluminous beard.
