They provide impartial valuations for housing benefit purposes, ensure consistency in rent assessments and collect and maintain accurate rental data to support government housing and welfare policies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who are we?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are a national team of over 100 statutory rent officers, independent and impartial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What do we do?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rent Officers have 3 primary functions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><em>Housing Benefit valuations (for those exempt from Universal Credit)<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Fair Rent Valuations<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Lettings Information Collection which:<\/em><\/strong>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><em>Provides comparable data for valuations<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Is used to produce Price Index of Private Rentals&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Used to calculate all three measures of consumer price inflation: &nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><em>Provides comparable data for valuations<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Is used to produce Price Index of Private Rentals&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Used to calculate all three measures of consumer price inflation: &nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><em>the Consumer Price Index (CPI) &nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>the Consumer Prices Index including housing costs (CPIH)<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>the Retail Price Index (RPI).&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Provides Department of Work and Pensions with annual LHA percentile figures<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Local Housing Allowance (LHA) rates applicable from April 2025 to March 2026 &#8211; GOV.UK<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Due to the national nature of our role, we aim to collect data from:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 a range of sources, from individual landlords with a single property, to agents with large portfolios&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 a range of property types and sizes, from single rooms to large, detached houses&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 a variety of tenancies (including new, renewal and periodic tenancies) &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 across every area in England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What about Privacy?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The VOA will only use information in the way described in our Rent Officer Functions privacy notice&nbsp; and following data protection law.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We will not share information with anyone unless it is lawful to do so.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":109967,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0},"exhibitor_category":[226,227],"class_list":["post-109966","exhibitor","type-exhibitor","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","exhibitor_category-government-bodies","exhibitor_category-valuations","entry","has-media"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Valuation Office Agency (VOA) - The Negotiator Conference 2025<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/thenegotiator.co.uk\/conference\/exhibitor\/valuation-office-agency-voa\/\" \/>\n<meta name=\"twitter:card\" content=\"summary_large_image\" \/>\n<meta name=\"twitter:title\" content=\"Valuation Office Agency (VOA) - The Negotiator Conference 2025\" \/>\n<meta name=\"twitter:description\" content=\"Introducing Valuation Office Agency Rent Officers A Valuation Office Agency (VOA) Rent Officer assesses and determines fair rents for residential properties with a regulated tenancy.
