Estate agency giant Belvoir has been harbouring a celebrity secret for nearly a year, it has been revealed.
For ten months 29-year-old Coronation Street star Kate Spencer has been working for the company’s West Bridgford Branch after her Grace Vickers character on the ITV soap was paused.
Spencer has worked on the soap since November 2019, appearing as the former girlfriend of character Michael Bailey, played by Ryan Russell.
Describing her time at Belvoir as her ‘lockdown job’ she has now left the agency to resume her acting career.
On Twitter she said: “Huge shout out to @BelvoirLetsWB for welcoming me in with opening arms, teaching me all about property, giving me some sort of regularity over the last year and always having a giggle.”
For non-Corrie fans, Spencer has also appeared in TV show Doctors and well as films Alice in Wonderland, Great Expectations and Captain Corelli’s Mandolin.
The West Bridgford Belvoir franchise is operated by Caplets Ltd since 2015 and isn’t your average branch operation. It was established by three former RAF pilots – Matthew Tucker, Neil Farrell and Ross Thompson – in partnership with local estate agent Jasmine Clay.
Belvoir founder Mike Goddard is himself a former RAF Wing Commander.
Spencer is not the firsts actor to join a property firm. In 2018 former Emmerdale soap actor and I’m a Celebrity participant Adam Thomas left full time show business to join Manchester estate agency and developer The Kamani Group.
