Solicitor-estate agency, Coulters has a new charity partnership with Link Community Development International (Link), an Edinburgh based organisation working to improve education in sub-Saharan Africa.
Coulters will work with the charity for two years, staff are already committed to various initiatives, including the West Highland Way walk and the Total Warrior obstacle course.
Established in 1989, Link works in rural areas of Ethiopia, Malawi, Uganda and Ghana, aiding some of the most vulnerable children in the world to access quality education.
It has raised standards and improved education for two million pupils in 3,000 schools.
Mark Coulter, CEO, said, “We are passionate about supporting children’s charities and really impressed with Link and what it has achieved. Many of the young people the charity works with live in desperate poverty, but now they are being offered the chance of a brighter future.”
Fiona Greig, CEO of Link, said, “We are very much looking forward to working with Coulters, their enthusiasm, passion and energy has been extremely motivating. Fundraisers play a huge part in supporting our work and we are grateful to have Mark and his team.
“Our vision is a world where every child has the right to quality education and for every £1 raised, 97p goes directly to support our charitable projects in Africa.”
