JLL charity egg imageJLL’s giant competition eggs the raised over £740 for homeless charity, Crisis, over Easter through the raffling of thirteen, 10kg Belgian chocolate eggs by its UK estate agency offices. Not only that, but several of the prize winners kindly donated their chocolate eggs to local hospitals and churches, spreading the community spirit over Easter.

One winner, Michelle Klinkert, donated her egg, which she named ‘Eggbert’ to the doctors, nurses and children of St. Mary’s Paediatric Unit in Paddington. It was no easy task finding ‘Eggbert’ who weighed 12.5kg a home but the smiles and gasps of the nurses and children spending their Easter in the hospital made it all worthwhile.

Joint winners, brothers Alex and Sebastian Newall, kindly donated their egg to the Saturn Ward at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Alex’s daughters were born there Hospital and his youngest daughter Olivia, was treated on the Saturn Ward having fallen ill shortly after her birth.

Alex, Managing Director of Barnes Private Office, said, “It is an amazing Easter egg to win and both Simon Godson of JLL and I were keen for it to be shared by the children, doctors and nurses who spent their Easter in hospital as staff and patients. I am truly grateful for the outstanding care my daughter received and I hope this giant egg will bring a smile to other children’s faces.”
