The estate agency industry is to have a presence at this summer’s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, which are to be televised by the BBC.

Leading North of England and Scots rural estate agency Bell Ingram has clinched a deal to be a sponsor of the Scottish women’s hockey team, which will see the firm’s logo appear on each player’s shirt and also on match days at the squad’s home ground in Glasgow.

The games will take place during July and August and are celebrating their centenary year.

bell ingramCarl Warden, head of estate agency (pictured), who joined in 2016 says, “Hockey is a natural fit for our business and the reach of the national squad, not only in Scotland but also further afield, is great promotion for the brand.

“We are looking forward to seeing the squad in action this year and playing our part in supporting young talent and the next generation of hockey stars.”

Barry Cawte, CEO at Scottish Hockey, adds, “Partnerships of this nature are so important for us to sustain and enhance the quality of opportunities available to our most talented athletes of all ages while attracting new people to th e sport.

“It’s great that we have such a high quality and established business on board, particularly one who places important emphasis on developing people.”

Bell Ingram is one of the UK’s oldest rural multi-discipline estate agencies and was founded in 189. It operates ten branches across northern England and Scotland and has 110 staff.

The firm has sponsored smaller sports teams in the past but the Scottish hockey team deal is its first foray into high-profile elite-level sport sponsorship.
