Hybrid estate agency franchise The Good Estate Agent has launched a parallel operation for travel agents.

The property firm, which has so far signed up 34 estate agencies to its property business over the past 12 months, has launched The Good Travel Franchise – and five of its 13 initial travel sector franchisees are estate agents.

The unusual business diversification is the brainchild of couple Rob and Sue Bryer (main picture) and his been enabled by their firm joining Advantage Managed Services (AMS), a division of travel agency consortium Advantage Travel Partnership.

Rob Bryer says he is confident the success and flexibility of the estate agency model can be replicated in the travel sector.

He told Travel Weekly that he’s “always believed in pushing boundaries and expanding horizons.

“The Good Travel Franchise is a testament to that,” he added.

Monthly fee

Like many hybrid estate agency franchise owners including his own, new The Good Travel Franchise owners pay a monthly fee, which includes training, administrative support, commercial agreements with suppliers, card merchant fees, ABTA membership, access to annual conferences and an online travel money shop.

Agents can earn a commission split with head office of up to 75% from day one.
