Fintech platform offers agents new way to win more landlord business

Property Circle has launched a tech platform to help agents generate and maximise lead generation from their client banks.

According to chief Executive Marc Randall (main picture), Property Circle’s growth platform will help agents engage existing customers about future opportunities to improve their financial circumstances.

He says: “Our platform is a revolutionary ‘helpmate’ for agents that interrogates their client databases 24/7, identifies new opportunities and gives them the chance to not only maximise new business but also make sure that existing clients receive an ongoing Rolls Royce personal service, a feature that will become increasingly important under the new Consumer Duty rules.”

And he adds: “Being a broker and landlord for the past 20 years I have seen the rise of buy-to-let but in today’s uncertain climate landlords have never needed more support and advice than now.”

Randall says that the best agents are hands-on with their landlord clients. But with so many factors such as mortgage rates changing almost daily it is nearly impossible to present an effective plan on the right time to buy, stick with individual properties in an existing portfolio or to sell.

He adds: “It would take approximately 42 days for a mortgage broker with 500 clients to manually review every mortgage account [that] they have.

“While the majority of individual buy-to-let landlords do not have portfolios that large in the current climate it surely follows that every letting or estate agent [or mortgage broker] trying to keep up to date with multiple landlord clients’ portfolios currently face an impossible task beyond providing a general overview.”

Randall says that a system that constantly monitors each and every property within the portfolio, looking at the property value relative to the equity and the current mortgage benchmarked against the current market offerings every day, would help both agents and brokers.

He adds: “Our platform takes away the manual effort of keeping up to date with a client’s portfolio and gives advisers real information and time control to make portfolio performance and improvement recommendations to their clients.

“Once the Property Circle platform identifies opportunities our algorithm validates and prioritises them and immediately presents the opportunity to the adviser to follow up with their clients.”
