Fixflo plugs insurance giant AXA’s repairs contractor network into its service

Ground-breaking deal between global insurer and repairs reporting service is designed to help agents complete repairs when existing contractors can't.

Agents struggling to find tradespeople to fix problems within their rental properties can turn to a service launched today jointly by insurance giant AXA and repairs software firm Fixflo.

Its clients can now log into the firm’s online repairs reporting system and gain emergency access to the hundreds of local tradespeople within AXA Assistance’s contractor network if their own suppliers aren’t available.

The tool is being piloted in the Midlands and Northern England and already has its first agent customer in Leeds.

Fixflo says the service is game changer because it offers a 24-hour service. It is free to access and then agents are charged an hourly rate at a level pre-agreed within the Fixflo system, but undisclosed to the Negotiator.

AXA’s innovative deal with Fixflo is part of the insurer’s aggressive expansion plan in a highly competitive market.

Almost all the major insurers in the UK now offer home insurance policy holders add-ons that provide emergency repairs services, at a cost.

Market leader

“As a market-leading B2B Home Emergency provider, our strategy is to embrace innovation, work with tech partners, and continually explore new ways of making the lives of our customers easier,” says Kelly Ward, Sales & Innovation Director at AXA Partners.

“Our partnership with Fixflo is one example of how we can utilise our experienced contractor network, aside of our standard insurance service, helping UK letting agents tend to their home emergencies quickly and seamlessly.”

One of the first agencies to begin using the service is Let Leeds, one of the city’s more larger lettings companies, which has two branches.

CIELA“We think this is going to be a fantastic tool for both landlords and agents in terms of them being able to continue to provide a high-quality, assured service, especially when managing properties outside their local area,” says Managing Director Luke Gidney (pictured).

“Maintaining and strengthening customer relationships is vital for agents and this, coupled with Fixflo’s other features, will help us continue to do so.”
