Former Countrywide agent heads new home staging division

Marina Collett imageFormer Countrywide estate agent, Marina Collett who spent 21 years at John D Wood & Co, has moved into the property staging business, to help dress luxury properties for sale or let in London and the home counties.

Previously Associate Director at John D Wood, Chelsea, South Kensington, Holland Park and Ladbroke Grove offices, Marina has joined The Property Service, helping clients create a luxurious home or investment from start to finish – to head up a new home staging department, TPS Furnishings. As well as renting out their own furniture, they help clients purchase furnishings for investment properties, homes or new developments.

She joins Vanessa Reeves and Nicky Copeman, to enhance property search, building and project management, interior design, furnishings and rental management. The business hopes to make home staging beneficial for developers, sellers and landlords trying to sell or let out a property in today’s difficult housing market.

Marina said, “Sophisticated presentation is vital for property owners and developers to get right. Unfurnished properties or a small space can make it hard for people to imagine what it would be like to live there. Often, the price is reduced as a result to appeal to a wider audience. In a market where buyers and tenants are only prepared to pay more if the quality is worth it, it made sense to combine our knowledge to provide the high level of service they expect.”

Vanessa added, “Nicky and I have known Marina for almost 30 years and are delighted to welcome her on board.”
