Ex-Spicerhaart boss Russell Jervis is joining Rayner Personnel as MD of its estate agency recruitment division.

Jervis left Spicerhaart at the end of last year after 33 years at the company, rising through the ranks from negotiator to MD. As part of Rayner’s ambitious growth plans, he’ll head up the estate agency recruitment division, tasked with attracting new clients, particularly large businesses.

He’ll also be leading the drive to attract new licensees as Rayner looks to partner with recruitment agents who can leverage the Rayner brand and share recruitment fees they bring in.

Says Jervis: “I’ve spent over 30 years helping great estate agents to be even better and I’m looking forward to accelerating that further in providing advice on whether a corporate, independent, online or self-employed role is the right route for each individual. Being honest with candidates and client alike on ‘fit’ makes for better overall relationships and less staff churn in the long run – so saving the client money.”

Josh Rayner (left), CEO of the Rayner Personnel Group, adds: “I’m so looking forward to working with Russell, one of the sector’s biggest names and with a solid track-record of success. His famous ‘black book’ will accompany him and it’s this experience and these contacts documented over 30 years that makes him a phenomenal partner for us.”

Jervis also runs a consultancy that will sit alongside his Rayner role and allow him to advise businesses on acquisition, sales, leadership development, presentations and public speaking. He started his estate agency career in 1987 at Strutt Daughters.
