Britain’s newest proptech firm Symple has opened a new office in London to cope with increasing demand for its rental property safety certification service.

Founder and chief executive Simon Dresdner says the service is catching on because it takes away the compliance headaches of mandatory certification of gas safety, electrical installations and EPCs for landlords, agents and homeowners.

Its cloud-based platform enables property owners to book and manage these tasks via Symple’s list of accredited and ‘strictly vetted’ service providers whether it’s gas safety engineers, electricians or energy assessors.

After launching this year with an office in Swinton, Greater Manchester, it is now adding an office in Hendon, north London after onboarding some 3,000 properties with plans to reach 10,000 by the end of this year.

Dresdner (pictured) adds: “Our new office in London provides a strong platform from which to further accelerate growth in line with our business plan.

Registration with Symple is free for landlords, agents and homeowners as well as service providers, and users can check the progress of each job and are then charged for each completed inspection.

“They simply have to register their property and provide us with the last expiry date, and the rest is taken care of,” says Dresdner.
