Haringtons Property Buying Agency has appointed Mark Cecil as an advisor. Mark joins Haringtons’ team of six, working closely with Founder Jonathan Harington and Director, Jamie Freeman, operating in the country homes market and Saul Empson and Nina Harrison operating in London.
Mark will concentrate on expanding Haringtons’ business in terms of client volume as well as through the acquisition of similar minded businesses.
With 33 years of experience in the investment banking sector, Mark has, for the past 12 years, worked as a founding partner of a hedge fund group and was previously a principal at GLG Partners.
Mark said, “I have always had a deep interest in the residential property market, with a particular love of classical architecture and by association, private country houses. I have followed the market carefully for many years and have informally advised a number of families on the purchase of country private residences.
“Having originally been a client of Jonathan’s, I was impressed with Haringtons’ offering which was a product of exceptional experience and a focus on client service. Their understanding of the market and the broader aspects of country house ownership is second to none.”
Jonathan Harington, Founder of Haringtons, commented on the appointment: “We’re delighted to welcome Mark to the team – a particular pleasure given that he was on the receiving end of our service as a client many years ago so has first-hand experience of the personal approach on which we pride ourselves. Mark brings with him a wealth of business experience that will help to bolster our plans to expand our services to new clients across the country.”
