Professionals from the property sector will hold a free webinar on May 12 to discuss agency sustainability and ways estate and letting agents can wage war on waste, recycle religiously and ease energy use.
The online event, ‘Agents For Sustainability: How To Unlock Positive Change’, will be hosted by TV presenter, Gabby Logan, and review the current state of sustainability in the industry.
Organised by home setup specialists Just Move In, and featuring representatives from The Negotiator, Hamptons, Agents Together and international sustainability experts B Lab, the webinar will discuss how property professionals can create a positive impact themselves and the various advantages of agency sustainability.
As covered in this month’s issue of The Neg, sustainability is fast becoming the issue in today’s business world. Research shows that 88% of customers prefer brands to be green and with 40% of all UK emissions coming from households, we ask whether agents have a responsibility to set an example.
The upcoming webinar will also share knowledge and ideas on how to exploit the opportunities that agency sustainability brings and how eco-friendliness and profitability go hand in hand.
“Cutting carbon isn’t just an ethical mission,” says Ross Nichols, co-founder of Just Move In. “It’s also about streamlining how employees work and saving time and physical energy, too.”
“Because agents play a vital role in the home-moving process, they can influence others to live sustainably by doing things like switching to a green energy provider.”
At the end of the webinar, agents will be asked to share how integral sustainability is to their business and whether there are any barriers that prevent the implementation of eco-friendly and socially responsible practices.
The answers will inform Just Move In’s upcoming Agents For Sustainability report, which will reveal the industry’s current sustainability credentials and highlight areas where agents can improve.
