Celebs who’ve had a moving experience are singing the praises of a Nottingham-based removals firm.
Veteran DJ Pete Tong (pictured) and a slew of rugby players trusted Ballards to haul their stuff around the world and have been persuaded to proffer some effusive quotes. The Ibiza legend gushed: “Ballards have been a pleasure to work with for our removal and storage needs. Proactive, courteous, trustworthy and great value.”
Head coach of the Fijian national rugby team Vern Cotter also rushed to commend Ballards’ moving skills after it organised two moves for him from France to New Zealand.
“We were so glad to have someone that we trusted and who knew the industry and the complicated NZ customs process inside-out,” says Cotter.
The company evidently has a way with rugby players as All Blacks star Lima Sopoaga enlisted Ballards to oversee his move from the UK to France, while rugby powerhouse Rodney Ah You left Newcastle Falcons for Rugby Club Vannes – and Ballards helped the prop move into his new home in France. Again, both gladly endorsed the removals firm.
The high-profile relocations come on the back of a record year for Ballards, which has quadrupled its annual turnover since 2017, with profits reaching £8 million in the last year.
Group MD Matthew Ballard says: “We treat every customer as an A-lister, but it’s especially exciting to be helping the likes of Pete Tong move home.
“The old adage of ‘celebrities – they’re just like us!’ might be true, but moving such high-value and one-of-a-kind items certainly put the pressure on the team. All our staff are all expertly trained, so there was no learning curve – just higher pulses and a very humbling experience all round.”
