It’s official – Connells acquires Countrywide

Connells has become the UK’s largest estate agency group by officially adding Countrywide to the group’s business.

The deal takes the total number of combined high street branches to over 1,200 between the two brands and provides long term financial stability for Countrywide, ‘bringing years of uncertainty to a close’, Connells claims.

Countrywide will continue to trade under its existing brand and keep its surveying and asset management businesses as separate entities to provide choice and competition, but with Connells Group delivering investment into technology and people to improve service offerings.

In other news, the estate agency chain has also acquired Yorkshire-based Holroyds, a well-established family business offering sales, lettings and mortgage services across its three branches in Baildon, Keighley and Bingley.

All offices will continue to trade under the Holroyds brand and sit within the Connells Group Sequence business.
