Countrywide agency John D Wood, which is currently celebrating its 150th anniversary, has rebranded an existing property management business as the firm reveals a major push into London’s Docklands and City property markets.

This will give John D Wood 28 branches mostly across the capital although it also has offices in Lymington, Oxford and Weybridge.

Its rebrand swallows up the existing Vanet Asset Property Management office (pictured) at Millharbour in East London, which is now branded a John D Wood office, as is its website.

Corporate tenants

The expansion of John D Wood’s reach reflects the growing popularity among corporate tenants looking to relocate to the UK, one of whom contact the agency every 11 minutes inquiring after properties in the area.

Vanet Asset Property Management was set up in 2006 by agent Sheldon Cole, before being bought out by Countrywide in 2015, Companies House records show.

Cole spent some of the proceeds from this sale to co-found a lettings proptech platform.

Tanya Hasking (pictured), Head of Lettings at John D Wood & Co. says: “Our reputation has been built on trust and integrity, an ethos which is not only essential to our brand, it is the way our teams operate.

“The team will remain the same in our new John D Wood & Co. Docklands and City office – it’s important to us to remain committed to our clients, ensure continuity, and keep their best interests at heart.”

Earlier in the year the agency upsized its Chiswick office, relocated its Belgravia branch to a newly refurbished premises, and acquired a new head office at 15 Belgrave Square, Belgravia.
