Halls Holdings has appointed Jon Quinn to the Board of Directors. The Shropshire firm is celebrating its 175th anniversary and is well known in the Midlands for its expertise as Auctioneers, Valuers and Property Agents and its Fine Art and Livestock Auctions.
Jon, based at the firm’s branch in Ellesmere covering the North Shropshire area, has worked for Halls for 17 years. “I started as an Office Junior assisting Allen Gittins, a baptism of fire at the time as Allen was quite the ‘taskmaster’! I’m grateful to Allen, he showed patience, shadowing his every appointment taught me a great deal and as I learned more about the property business.”
One of Jon’s developments includes a project he worked on with Neil Mainwaring and Ali Kynaston Mainwaring, of Hardwick Hall Estate, negotiating the sale of a four acre development site to Hawk Homes 18 months ago.
Jon said, “Having lived in this area for most of my life, I love this part of the country and I’ve made a lot of friends and business contacts during my time at Halls. I have a young family and I have no future plans to live or work anywhere else, I’m very happy.”
Halls Chairman, Allen Gittins, added, “We are delighted to welcome Jon to the Board. It is a well-deserved appointment and he will be a great asset in helping the business, as a whole, develop and possibly expand further, as we start our 175th year.”
