Landlords offered ‘solution’ to EPC upgrades under proptech deal

AI firm Propflo has reached an agreement with mortgage lender Molo to give landlords a new energy upgrade tool.

Landlords are to be offered an ‘end-to-end solution’ to EPC upgrades after AI proptech platform Propflo struck a deal with digital mortgage lender Molo Finance.

Following a successful trial this summer, which saw an increase in average engagement rates, Molo will introduce ‘GreenVal’, a tool from Propflo.

The tool is designed to help landlords become compliant with energy efficiency standards by offering a range of options and recommendations, as well as direct quotes from national suppliers.

Integrates

GreenVal integrates with Propflo’s HomeHub, where customers can manage quotes and improvement works in one place, as well as securely store key property documents like warranties.

Propflo launched the retrofit GreenVal tool in anticipation of the impending Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) that will require private rented properties to achieve a minimum energy rating of C by 2028.

Insights

The tool will be sent to existing customers and be accessible via Molo’s website, giving landlords the insights to improve the EPC rating of their properties.

Landlords can use Molo to apply for a mortgage or remortgage online for their buy-to-let, and begin the process of making their properties more energy efficient.
