A total of 11 new businesses and 32 additional branches have been secured by the company over the course of 2015 – meaning the last 12 months have been its most active yet in the acquisitions market. The Leaders network now spans some 113 branches across the UK.

This year’s acquisitions mean that Leaders now has a presence in 22 counties, having moved into Worcestershire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Warwickshire for the first time this year. The company now has in excess of 45,000 tenanted properties on its books and handles in the region of £28.5 million in rent every month.

Matthew Light imageMatthew Light (left), Acquisitions Director at Leaders, said, “We have spent more than £25 million on acquiring new businesses this year, which has helped to take our branch network beyond 100 locations.

“With so much experience in this area, more vendors are now viewing us as the perfect acquirer of their company when they decide to sell. We have shown we always deliver on our promises, offer a smooth and simple due diligence and legal process and achieve high staff retention.”

Despite spending £25 million on acquisitions this year, the Acquisitions Director explained that his firm is actively seeking more companies to buy as part of its expansion plans.

He added, “2016 promises more of the same, with our plans for expansion shaping up to be more ambitious than ever. We are actively seeking lettings and sales businesses across all areas of England and Wales, so any owners who are thinking of selling over the next 12 months should get in touch to find out how we can help them achieve their goals.”

Richard Hill imageHeritage Property was owned and operated by Richard Hill and his wife Jane since 2001. They chose to sell the organisation to pursue other interests.

Hill (right) commented, “Selling our business of almost 15 years was clearly a tough decision, but once we had made it we knew we had to find a buyer that had the resources, expertise and experience required to continue to deliver a great service to all our sellers, landlords, buyers and tenants.

“Leaders has completed a number of acquisitions in recent years and has the experience to make the process an incredibly smooth one for vendors such as ourselves. I am also sure it is the perfect name to take the Leamington Spa and Kenilworth branches to the next level.”
