Magic Moments, the official charity of Spicerhaart, has appointed a new Chairman to head the charity and boost fundraising in 2015.
Jon Martin, Operations Manager at Spicerhaart, has been a trustee of the charity for five years and in his new role as Chairman is already looking forward to fundraising this year, as he prepares to take part in the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge in August alongside other Spicerhaart colleagues and friends.
Magic Moments, which raises money to take seriously ill children and their families on their dream holiday to Disneyland Paris, raised £109,000 in 2014 allowing 45 families (200 people in total) to embark on the trip of a lifetime. This is up from 12 families in 2012, indicating the upward trajectory of the charity’s success.
The charity aims to raise more money year on year. As well as the Three Peaks Challenge led by Jon, a sponsored Spicerhaart Dragon
Boat Race will be taking place over the summer. Meanwhile Russell Jervis, Managing Director of Estate Agency, is planning a repeat of last year’s event, completing the London to Brighton cycle ride in May. Last year’s sponsorship totalled £33,000 for this event alone and Russell is hoping to raise even more in 2015
