Mahomed Imtayas of Northwood Wolverhampton has successfully acquired Millenium Properties, adding 250 managed properties to his portfolio and fast tracking his way into the history books by completing on the Belvoir Group’s 100th acquisition of an independent agency.

Belvoir CEO Dorian Gonsalves said, “Helping franchisees to develop their businesses through acquisition remains a strong growth strategy for Belvoir and this milestone is a superb achievement by our inhouse Acquisition Team.”

Mahomed’s venture comes after 20 years of running a stationery company in Malawi until returning to the UK three years ago. He said, “I have been a landlord and a tenant in the past, and I have my own rental properties both in Leicester and abroad, so I am very aware of the challenges that can be faced by everyone. The training I have received has been excellent. My daughter Anjum will be working with me as Office Manager, and we are also retaining two existing staff members.

“I am almost 60 years old now, but have always wanted to work in estate agency, so this is a dream come true and I wish it had happened 20 years ago!”
