40 years in estate agency
Gascoigne Halman branch manager, Andrew Hayes, is celebrating 40 years in estate agency after his property career began in his hometown back in 1983 during a summer job.
Back then, camera film rolls had to be physically sent off for processing in a lab and a simple particulars brochure could take weeks to produce and print.
Four decades and some 6,000 house sales later, Andrew is thankful for the efficiencies new technology has brought to the industry:
“The way we initially search for homes to rent or buy online has fundamentally changed but it is far swifter now to get a property listed for clients,” commented Andrew. “But people do still like to talk to estate agents and the local knowledge we possess combined with our industry expertise has ensured our role remains invaluable.
Andrew’s passion for estate agency and his commitment to the attractive market town of Frodsham, where he was given his first break into the industry, remains unwavering.
Andrew added: “Frodsham really comes into its own from spring onwards.
“It’s a hugely popular location for weekend visitors and walkers and easy to see why so many people choose to make this lovely town their permanent home.”
