NAVA Propertymark Novice Auctioneer of the Year 2019 was recently awarded to up-andcoming property auctioneer, David Henwood from Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers.

David succeeds last year’s winner Debs Latham at SDL Auctions.

As well as receiving the title of ‘NAVA Propertymark Novice Auctioneer of the Year’, Henwood received the Clive Emson Rosebowl; a gavel sponsored by Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers; a year’s NAVA Propertymark membership subscription and £250 to give to a charity.

The competition was held at the Chateau Impney Hotel in Droitwich Spa.

Entrants must have conducted fewer than three auctions or have been at the rostrum for less than a year. The first stage involved a bidding sequence to demonstrate possible occurrences in the saleroom and to test the entrant’s skill, knowledge and presence on the rostrum where each contestant auctions a series of lots.

Runners up were Marino Costi from Philip Arnold Auctions and Christopher Theocharides from SDL Auctions.
