Will you join? Leading industry figures get sporty to raise cash for Ukraine
Nearly 50 names from the industry are urging agents to either donate or join them in their sports-based challenge for Ukraine.
Nearly 50 leading estate agency figures are taking part in a significant fund raising effort to raise money for the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
Organised by Alex Willis (pictured), CEO of moving services firm the GOTO Group, the team are embarking on a ‘Miles for Ukraine’ physical challenge during May that will see them either run, walk or cycle up to 250 kilometres to raise the money via donations.
But Willis says the group is also looking for other property industry people to join the group and help boost the funds they raise to help Ukrainians in need following the bloody Russian invasion of their country.
During May those taking part will either run 100 kms, walk 150kms or cycle 250 km.
Last year the group raised £16,026 for mental health charity Mind during a similar fund-raising challenge.
“Just like last year, we are looking to use the collective force of 40+ people from our great property community to raise money for an incredibly important cause.
“Using exercise as the vehicle to fundraise provides vital physical and mental benefits to those involved and the motivation and camaraderie that is generated from the team Whatsapp group keeps everyone pushing for more miles and more money.”

Spencer Lawrence, Lettings Director at Paramount says: “Whatever your ability is – what we’re all doing is equally important. And in the end the money raised goes to help people in a critical situation. I’d highly recommend joining.’’
Richard Price (pictured), MD at Dezrez, says: “Alex has assembled a cracking team of colleagues from across the property industry and I’m honoured to be part of it.
“I hope that by being part of this challenge we can do something to help those that have had that freedom taken away.’’
Mark Worrall, Director at Moving Works adds: “I really enjoyed the challenge last year and this year have persuaded the whole team at MovingWorks to get involved.”
