One app to unite the whole home moving process is needed, says proptech senior

John Reynolds, Co-founder and COO of Coadjute, says both Rightmove and Zoopla would be well-placed to develop a super app.

A single and exclusive ‘home moving super app’ is needed to transform the property market – and it’s increasingly likely one will be developed soon, according to a leading proptech firm.

John Reynolds, who is Co-founder and COO at Coadjute, says it has been done in the United States, and it’s only a matter of time before it happens here.

He suggests Rightmove or Zoopla would be well-placed to create a super app similar to Zillow in the US.

“The current UK property market is ripe for the emergence of ahousing super app that streamlines and simplifies the home buying and selling experience.”

He says the property industry is too fragmented to make the customer experience a good one, with businesses competing for the attention of both sellers and buyers.

Increasingly likely

“As the property market continues to evolve, the emergence of a housing super app in the UK appears increasingly likely.

“This digital transformation will set new standards for convenience, efficiency, and simplicity in the industry, ultimately benefiting consumers by providing a seamless, stress-free experience when home moving,” says Reynolds

End-to-end service

A housing super app could provide an ‘end-to-end’ transaction service that covers every aspect of the process, he suggests.

“It is designed to alleviate the burden of coordinating and integrating various services traditionally involved in property transactions.

“It serves as a singular platform where consumers can connect, interact, and transact with all necessary parties, including estate agents, conveyancers, mortgage brokers, lenders, and surveyors.”

The app could also be extended to cover insurance providers and moving companies as well, he adds.
