The Beresford estate agency brand has begun to be expunged from the high street as new owner Stirling Ackroyd starts refitting its three branches.

ackroyd griffinThe radical makeover for the offices, which are to lose their Beresford branding, are being repositioned as Stirling Ackroyd after the group behind the two businesses, the former Nick Dunning Associates – decided recently to put all of its eggs into the Stirling Ackroyd basket.

The latest branch to rebrand is the Beresford office in West Norwood, which is temporarily emblazoned with Stirling Ackroyd branding and the ‘The Griffin has landed’ tagline (see pic), with builders busy behind the façade remoulding its interior.

Standard of service

The former Beresford Residential website now redirects to a holding page that says: “If you were a Beresford Residential customer, your Property Consultant will now be communicating with you as Stirling Ackroyd as we continue to provide you with the same exceptional standard of service you are used to receiving.”

Not just Beresford is rebranding – the group also brought the Townends estate agency into the Stirling Ackroyd brand family in October last year.

Nick Dunning (pictured) set up the group in 2015 after an eight-year stint at Countrywide and before that a career in corporate finance, brining several of his former colleagues with him.

Rebranding last year to the Stirling Ackroyd Group, it took the name of its most high-profile acquisition from back in 2017 when it also bought the Regents, Townends and, more recently, the Beresford businesses.

Dunning recently said he now expects to grow the business under the Stirling Ackroyd name both organically and through further acquisitions.
