Portal property listings should be launched on Monday evenings at 8pm to get the most leads, it has been claimed.
Research by property portal Zoopla among its listings shows that adverts for rental properties gain the most leads if they go live on a Monday evening while sales properties do best on a Wednesday evening.
The worst times for both kinds of listing is Friday evening, when everyone’s relaxing after a long week at work.
The data shows that many renters and buyers complete their online home-hunting research during the week and then book-in their viewings to be completed at the weekend, the research suggests.
“We always strive to provide our agents with the best insights to inform their marketing strategies,” says Charlie Bryant, Managing Director of Zoopla (left).
“By listing in the late afternoon they will likely experience the highest proportion of buyers and renters sending leads in the evening.”
The guidance from Zoopla follows similar data last week that revealed how the first hour of a property’s listing is the most important and that between 11% and 12% of all leads arrive in the first hour, and that over a third arrive within a listing’s initial seven days on a .
Rightmove has published similar data in its ‘Little Blue Book’ publication recently, also pointing to the listings ‘sweetspot’ being between 8pm and 9pm, although its data points to weekday lunchtimes coming a close-run second to the early evenings.
