One of the most expensive property markets in the UK has its first female-owned estate agency.
Faith Cook and Georgia Everton-Wallach are the first women estate agency owners in the leafy but highly competitive West London and Parsons Green areas of West London.
The duo plan to expand the office’s sales and lettings operation to include both its existing patches but also branch out to cover the Sands End and Crabtree neighbourhoods.
Both women were already co-directors at Winkwoth’s Fulham branch but have now bought the business and have become its co-franchisees.
Cook, who has been working in the property industry for over ten years, ran the sales team at Fulham for five years and has been instrumental in turning the office into one of the top performers in the area.
Everton-Wallach joined the Winkworth lettings team in 2015 and will concentrate on building the lettings side, combining her extensive expertise and contacts with knowledge of the contractual, legal and regulatory aspects of the PRS.
She says: “We are really proud to be the only female estate agent office owners in the area and we have great plans to expand the business.”
Cook adds: “When the business came up for sale, we had our heart set on acquiring it.”
“We have built up an extremely loyal following of clients; we share a passion for the area and the people here and will continue to focus on always providing a first-class service.”
The duo have an eight-strong team across their two offices at 40 New Kings Road and 190 Fulham Palace Road.
Lucy Britton, head of talent and recruitment at Winkworth (pictured): “We are particularly keen to see more women franchisees at Winkworth. Come and talk to us if you are an ambitious and experienced agent looking to run your own business as part of our franchise network.”
