Search is on for new talent to join the Propertymark seniors

Two new vice-presidents are needed to be the public face of Propertymark, together with two new directors and a non-executive chair.

Propertymark is looking for new property professionals both to join its leadership team and to act as ambassadors for the property industry.

Two new vice-presidents are needed to be the public face of Propertymark, passing on the views of members they meet and the challenges they are facing.

Meanwhile two new directors are required to sit on the board and help drive the organisation forward.

The board will also need a new non-executive chair, as current chair Nicky Heathcote will be standing down this summer after five years in the role.

All roles will be voted on by member agents.

The new vice-presidents will form the Propertymark Presidential Team – prominent ambassadors with a passion for their industry. The successful vice-presidents will enter the team in July 2023, moving into the president-elect position in 2024 and becoming president of their respective divisions in 2025, their third and final year of service.

Directors elected to the board will serve an initial four-year term. Applications are open to for two director roles, one from the sales divisions and one from lettings.

Decide strategic direction

The Propertymark board is predominantly made up of industry professionals, and their primary responsibility is to agree the strategic direction of the organisation and set priorities and objectives.

The UK’s leading professional body for estate agents will also be recruiting a new non-executive chair to replace Nicky Heathcote as Director and Chair of the board.

Nicky (pictured left), who was a Non-Executive Director at Propertymark before taking on the role of Chair in 2020, has been instrumental to the recent transformation of the organisation.

She has driven through the introduction of a new business strategy that puts members at the heart of everything Propertymark does, the implementation of a new corporate governance framework and regulatory regime, the modernisation of Propertymark’s qualifications offering and establishing an in-house PR and campaigns team.
