Manchester and London estate agency Orlando Reid has acquired Clapham independent sales and lettings agency Sheraton Law as it endeavours to extend its reach across the UK.
The firm says it aims to acquire five agencies by the end of 2025 and to open several offices in strategic locations across the country over the next few years. This latest acquisition follows the group’s recent property investment HQ opening in Manchester’s city centre.
Founding directors Baljit Arora (main pic, right) and Jack Reid (left) are now keen to hear from independent agencies with a turnover up to £2m, who are interested in a sale or collaboration.
3,000 properties
Says Arora: “Over the previous three years, our group turnover has increased by 50% year-on-year and this acquisition will ensure we maintain our long-term growth strategy to have 3,000 managed properties in our group by the end of 2025.”
Orlando Reid will retain Sheraton Law’s company name, staff and large office in South West London while the previous owner Lauren Van Veen (pictured) will stay on as a consultant.
“Sheraton Law is a fantastic estate agency with impressive online reviews from their long-standing clients,” says Reid.
“The time has come for new, proactive owners to take over and grow the business through the use of prop-tech and social media. The business has hundreds of managed properties in their portfolio which we look forward to dealing with and adding value to.”
Arora adds: “We want to offer a more tailored service than most rigid corporate companies. We’re looking forward to working with some new clients in our local area.”
