One agent relaunches two years after being suspended by portals

Top Gaff enables vendors to upload properties to Zoopla and Rightmove for free, but got into trouble in 2019 for saying it 'wasn't an estate agent'.

A mobile phone-based online agent that enables home sellers to upload properties for sale directly to Zoopla and Rightmove for free within a few hours has been re-launched.

Top Gaff says all its property listings will be rigorously reviewed by its in-house team in accordance with ICO data protection regulations, before being uploaded to the Rightmove and Zoopla platforms as a licensed agent. This follows its original launch in March 2019 when The Negotiator revealed that Rightmove had removed its listings follow claims that it was “not an estate agent” on the company’s website.

This problem has now been sorted out, and now vendors can upload their properties including images and video plus property descriptions and, if necessary, commissioning an EPC.

Being marketed as “giving the seller greater control” using the app is free and involves no contract, commission or fee for the vendor. The only costs are the EPC and conveyancing.

Professional support

Vendors and buyers will be able to talk directly to each other via the app, and vendors will use it to arrange viewings, negotiate on price and do their own sales progression, to a point, with “professional estate agent support from the Top Gaff team”.

MD Paul Bar claims his app uploads properties to the portal faster than traditional agents and that this will be a key attraction for vendors.

“Research shows that 63% of buyers are more likely to choose an agent that can publish their properties in a shorter time frame, than having to wait,” he says.

The app, which has been developed by Essex estate agent ParaBar Gold Ltd, is available to download for free from the App Store or Google Play Store. More information can also be found on topgaff.com.
