Venture Properties support Alzheimer’s Society

“Staff at Venture Properties in Durham, trained really hard for this year’s ‘Tour de Branch’ event, with training starting in late April and a group of us heading out most Sundays,” says Matthew Laverick-Elliott, Lettings Manager. “Our training took us all over County Durham with our last ride even venturing into Richmond in North Yorkshire. Unfortunately, though, one of the members of staff came off her bike and spent a few days in hospital but is recovering fine now. We were all rather nervous on the morning but felt we’d put the work in and were as prepared as we could be. One couple had travelled from Amsterdam, believe it or not, to take part!

“After the success of last year, we aimed to do the whole event bigger and better and doubled the number of riders and the fundraising target. We’re pleased to see we’re well on our way to hitting our £7000 target for the Alzheimer’s Society – a magnificent achievement. When all the friends, family (and even dogs) were gathered at the finish line to cheer us on it made us all extremely proud. After the ride, everyone gathered at our Darlington office for food and drinks before limping off home for takeaways and an early night.”
